As a volunteer, you become part of the heart of the festival—helping create an experience where hundreds of people can gather to celebrate connection, creativity, music, play, and being fully alive.
You'll work alongside our team, meet amazing people, experience the festival from the inside, and become part of the community that makes Shimmer possible.
Whether you love welcoming people, decorating magical spaces, making coffee, supporting facilitators, or capturing beautiful moments, there's a place for you.

What You'll Receive
As a volunteer, you'll become part of the Shimmer Team and enjoy the festival experience alongside our guests.

Full Festival Pass (Friday–Sunday)
2 Friends & Family vouchers, each giving 20% off a Full Festival Pass.

Café & Nourishment
Help prepare and serve food, coffee, chai, snacks, and drinks while creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Guest Welcome & Ticketing
Welcome guests, assist with check-in, wristbands, and help everyone arrive smoothly.
Workshop & Facilitator Support
Help prepare workshop spaces, welcome participants, and support facilitators before and after their sessions.
Festival Care
Support the team with practical tasks such as tidying shared spaces, washing dishes, refilling supplies, and helping everything flow smoothly throughout the weekend.
Decoration & Creative Team - Festival Set-Up
Help transform the venue before the festival by building, decorating, organizing, and creating the magical Shimmer atmosphere.
Festival Pack-Down
Help us restore the venue after the festival and leave the space as beautiful as we found it.
Artist & Facilitator Support
Support artists and facilitators with practical needs throughout the festival.
Photographer / Videographer
Capture the magic of Shimmer through photography and video, helping preserve unforgettable moments.
Social Media Content Creator
Create authentic behind-the-scenes content, stories, reels, and festival moments throughout the weekend.
Fire Keeper
Help tend the festival fire and create a warm gathering place throughout the weekend.
Community Host
Be a friendly face around the festival, answer questions, help guests find their way, and contribute to the warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes Shimmer special.

By joining, you become part of the Shimmer experience.
As a volunteer at Shimmer, there is no fee to participate.
Instead, we ask that everyone joining the market helps co-create the festival by sharing Shimmer with your community.
This includes:
• Sharing the festival on your social media channels
• Engaging with and sharing posts where you are featured or tagged
• Helping spread the word to people who may resonate with the Shimmer experience
A Gift for Your Community
As a thank you for being part of Shimmer, you'll receive two Friends & Family vouchers, each giving 20% off a Full Festival Pass.

Accommodation, Food & Parking
As a volunteer, you're invited to fully immerse yourself in the Shimmer experience throughout the weekend.
Accommodation
• Camping is included free of charge
• You are welcome to bring your own tent, van, or camper setup
If you prefer indoor accommodation, shared sleeping spaces are available for:
• 150 SEK per person / night
Food
Food is not included.
You are welcome to:
• Bring and prepare your own food
• Purchase meals, snacks, drinks, and treats on-site throughout the festival
• Purchase a Meal Pass in advance for the best value and a more relaxed festival experience
Meal Pass
• 650 SEK (pre-purchase price)
• Regular value: 840 SEK
The Meal Pass includes food tokens that can be used throughout the festival for nourishing meals, chai, snacks, drinks, breakfast, coffee, tea, and more.
Pre-purchasing your Meal Pass helps us prepare food quantities and create the smoothest possible experience for everyone.
